Job Duties
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and lead daily pulse meetings, presenting updates on Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost metrics.
* Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, including planned maintenance work orders completion within the month, overdue work orders, and scheduling based on equipment criticality metrics.
* Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
* Ensure timely execution of work orders and allocate resources effectively.
* Create action plans to address gaps in maintenance performance.
* Lead ongoing improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
* Implement Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma principles within maintenance processes.
* Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Manage and develop a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.
* Build and maintain a skills matrix to align competencies with tasks.
* Create and monitor training plans to upskill team members.
* Foster engagement through coaching, recognition, and clear communication.
* Work closely with production, quality, and safety teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure alignment with corporate initiatives such as CQMS/ISO certification.
* Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards and eliminating hazards.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Proven experience in maintenance planning and execution within a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Ability to analyse data and make decisions based on KPIs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and alternate shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in developing training programs and competency frameworks.
* Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and criticality analysis.
* Prior experience managing teams and experience with maintenance operations.
* Level 3 equivalent qualification in engineering (Ie City & Guilds)
