As a highly experienced 3rd line Infrastructure Engineer, your expertise will be central to the delivery, support, and optimisation of existing and new technology solutions across our on-premise and cloud-smart infrastructure estate. What you’ll do The Specialist ¦ ICT Technical Services – Infrastructure will be involved in the following activities: Administer, monitor, and optimise a Microsoft-based infrastructure, including Active Directory, in a multi-site enterprise environment. Own end-to-end troubleshooting and performance management across LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and virtualised infrastructure. Manage enterprise compute and storage platforms, including SAN, NAS, backup solutions, and server hardware. Act as the technical escalation point for complex incidents, coordinating with internal teams and third-party suppliers. Deliver new technology solutions across the full project lifecycle, from scoping and requirements gathering through to handover and documentation. Contribute to the design and maintenance of a secure infrastructure, managing risks and implementing appropriate controls. What you’ll bring Minimum 5 years of experience delivering enterprise infrastructure services, including data centre networking (Dell S-Series). Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Active Directory, OSPF routing, VPNs, and firewalls (SonicWALL, pfSense advantageous). Proven expertise in virtualisation technologies, particularly VMware vSphere 8, vCenter, SRM, and Hyper-V. Experience with enterprise storage and backup solutions (Dell PowerStore and PowerProtect, Veeam advantageous). Experience administering M365 (Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online), Azure, Azure AD Connect, MFA, and Conditional Access. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
