Job Description Summary
Our Global Occupier Management team are looking for a Senior Surveyor to join us in our Edinburgh office, and provide one of our key clients with the full property management service, all whilst representing the company to the highest standard.
In this role you will be providing professional advice to clients, contributing to fee, billing and profit targets, and supporting with the management of large corporate portfolios across the whole of the UK.
Job Description
As a Senior Surveyor within the Global Occupier Management team, you will be working across several properties with one of our major clients, to deliver estate management services, collaborating with other skill lines across the C&W group too.
Key responsibilities:
* To ensure cost effective operational running of allocated sites
* Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the client’s premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant
* Identify and drive through cost savings for corporate occupiers
* For sublet properties, monitor income collection and tenant liaison
* Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated
* Ensure adherence to lease terms and compliance with statutory requirements and advising clients of same
* Direct and frequent client contact and reporting
* Support Line Manager in his/her work with clients
* Potentially take over day to day responsibility for specific clients if applicable
* Work with clients to deliver business objectives
* Effectively use established systems for workflow management, minimising debts, and disbursement recovery
* Feed into client budgets to ensure accurate market data.
* Utilise in-house casework management system to fullest extent
* Provide surveyor sign-off on in-house governance
* Meet client expectations and deadlines
Knowledge & Experience:
* Preferable to be RICS qualified
* General practice background for either a corporate, public sector or private practice
* Experience of property management work for either investors or corporate occupiers would be preferred, ideally the latter but will consider the former
* Demonstrable technical competence in areas relevant to role
* IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
* Sound numerical reasoning and analytical skills
* Solid understanding of client service delivery
* High level of written and spoken communication skills
