The Role
As a Majestic Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in driving sales and managing daily operations. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences, achieving KPIs, and maintaining high standards. You will also mentor junior team members to help them reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support your Store Manager in overseeing store performance and operations, taking responsibility in their absence.
* Maximise sales opportunities and improve KPI performance through targeted plans.
* Provide outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
* Offer personalized VIP concierge services, keeping customers informed about products and tastings.
* Promote products passionately, manage tasting events, and maintain an attractive tasting counter.
* Assist in recruiting, managing, and developing team members, providing support and feedback.
* Help team members develop product knowledge and pass WSET qualifications, including your own ongoing development.
* Ensure the store's physical appearance and maintenance meet standards, reporting issues promptly.
* Identify operational improvements for efficiency.
* Maintain compliance with policies, safety, and legal standards through mandatory training.
* Communicate store, regional, and business updates effectively.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
* Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Understanding of retail KPIs and strategies to improve them.
* Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills under pressure.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
* Positive attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* WSET Level 2 qualification is essential; willingness to pursue Level 3 for career progression.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
