You will undertake the investigation, negotiation and settlement of designated motor damage claims, property damage claims and public liability claims up to stipulated authority levels.
Responsibilities
* Generate correspondence related to claims files and the department.
* Recover companies’ outlay for vehicles or property damaged as a result of road traffic accidents.
* Instruct motor engineers to inspect third party vehicle damage.
* Attend plaintiff engineers’ inspections when carried out on companies’ vehicles or properties.
* Dealing with enquires from third parties, solicitors, Insurers.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 6 months experience in a claims environment within the insurance industry with experience of Motor Damage claims.
* Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths or, alternatively be able to demonstrate at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar post.
* Experience of working with MS Office including Word and Excel.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a claims environment within the insurance industry with experience of Motor Damage claims.
* Educated to A-Level standard.
* Experience of third-party capture in a Motor Claims Department.
