Overview
Join our team at M&S as a Visual Merchandiser in our Fashion, Home & Beauty section, where you'll become a champion of our stylish products and an influencer of the latest trends. You will focus on creating remarkable visual displays that attract and engage customers, and collaborate with the team to implement effective merchandising strategies. Core shifts are between 7am–6pm; a full work pattern will be discussed at interview.
Purpose: to deliver a great shopping experience for customers, champion new ways of working, complete tasks to deliver high standards, and serve and sell across all channels brilliantly well.
Responsibilities
* Dress and style mannequins to agreed standards during launches and throughout the season.
* Deliver seasonal window implementation and maintain best-in-town presentation standards, store cleanliness, and visual merchandising (VM) principles.
* Work with colleagues to ensure correct implementation of POS and digital tools to enhance the customer experience.
* Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points; proactively engage with customers to understand needs and make recommendations.
* Utilise digital tools and communication channels; share customer and colleague feedback to drive improvements.
* Share knowledge with colleagues to support skill-building; own learning and access digital learning solutions.
* Understand daily sales targets, promotions, and selling opportunities; maintain strong product knowledge.
* Adapt to changing store priorities; complete tasks with pace in line with SOPs and minimise waste.
* Follow safe and legal working practices.
Key Accountabilities
* Deliver VM across the store that aligns with branding and seasonal campaigns; ensure product availability and display quality.
* Collaborate with store teams to implement POS and merchandising standards each season.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation; ensure accessibility and inclusivity for customers and staff.

* Understanding of M&S operations, strategy, and the role of a Visual Merchandiser within the business.
* Attention to detail and ability to deliver quality work quickly.

Technical Skills / Experience
* Comprehensive styling skills applicable to in-store visuals and windows; strong knowledge of VM principles.
* Experience contributing to store sales, cost control, and cross-store collaboration.
* Digital capability with use of digital tools and applications; good product knowledge across the store.
* Ability to understand customer needs and identify selling opportunities; adaptable to change.
