We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Agricultural Machinery Salesperson to join our growing team based at the Thirsk Auction Mart depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about the agricultural industry, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships.
In this role, you will manage a defined sales area covering the North and East of our Thirsk branch. You'll represent our full product portfolio, including Massey Ferguson, Krone, Can‑Am, and Sky Agriculture, and be responsible for machinery sales across the territory. Your day‑to‑day will involve conducting demonstrations, preparing quotations, and developing a profitable sales area, while also supporting the wider sales team across branches.
Responsibilities
* Developing sales within Can Am, Yamaha & Corvus ATV brands and associated equipment
* Structured development and management of an assigned area, building a long‑term customer base.
* Call planning and prospecting activity carried out in a methodical manner and recorded via CRM system.
* Carrying out demonstration, installation and follow‑up processes in line with company and brand guidelines.
* Taking ownership of managing own sales activity, planning and balancing prospecting calls and existing customer visits.
* Working with company and supplier targets to achieve quote, coverage and conversion targets.
* Working to achieve customer total customer excellence satisfaction from point of enquiry to point of delivery.
* Developing in the role within company and brand guidelines and dealer standards.
* Supporting show and event activity with all Machinery products and the wider ATV/Groundcare portfolio.
* Supporting other advertising and promotional activity with all brands.
* Any other task associated with the development of a new sales area.
* Adhering to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
* Ensuring all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent attitude to make things happen, self‑starter to develop an area from scratch
* Written skills – proven ability to use clear, concise language specific for the purpose and audience
* Confident IT user
* Flexibility with working hours during busy seasons and weekends.
* Full UK driving licence required.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
* Ability to manage change and to adapt to unexpected demands on a day‑to‑day basis.
* Ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines both independently and as a member of a team
* Experience working independently and managing time in a commercial environment.
