Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician/ACT to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B men's prison, located in the Isle of Wight. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to support you and help you succeed.
Hours
This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team work a rolling rota over 4 weeks, 4-5 shifts per week. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm, with potential to work on weekends if needed.
Salary
This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £33,454 depending on experience.

* Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients

* Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients
* Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
