EYFS Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Teaching Personnel - Sheffield South Primary Team
We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced EYFS HLTA to support Early Years Foundation Stage provision in primary schools across the S10 area. The role will involve a combination of group work, interventions, and leading learning under the guidance of the class teacher.
Essential Requirements:
* HLTA Status or a recognised Level 4 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning
* Full and Relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma, BTEC National Diploma in Childcare or equivalent)
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception)
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework and child development
* Experience in early phonics delivery (e.g., Letters and Sounds or Read Write Inc.)
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver small group and whole class sessions, including phonics and early maths
* Support learning through play-based approaches in line with EYFS best practice
* Assist in planning, observing, and recording children's progress
* Provide 1:1 support for children with additional needs where required
* Maintain strong communication with teaching staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
