I’m supporting Newman RC College, an 11–16 secondary school in Oldham / North Manchester, to recruit a Permanent Estates Manager.
This is a hands-on, site-based role with real ownership. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the school estate, supervise a small team, and help create a safe, well-run environment for students and staff.

* Salary: £34,432–£38,218 (Grade 6)
* Full time, all year round
* 37 hours per week (approx. 8am–4pm)

What you’ll be doing
* Taking responsibility for the school site day to day
* Line managing two facilities team members and overseeing on-site PFI staff
* Coordinating maintenance, repairs and site improvements
* Leading on health and safety, fire safety and compliance
* Supporting exams, events and room setups
* Dealing calmly with urgent site issues as they arise
This role would suit someone who
* Has experience in caretaking, premises or site management
* Is ready to step into a more senior, people-focused role
* Has a practical understanding of health and safety
* Enjoys being visible, organised and hands-on
