Salary: Circa £87,200 DOE + bonus scheme

Your Role
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will tackle complex and emerging technical challenges within advanced radar systems. Your expertise will guide design, resolve issues, and ensure technical rigor. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Core Duties
* Develop innovative solutions to evolving technical challenges in complex radar systems.
* Apply your knowledge of Systems Engineering principles to steer technical solutions and resolve engineering issues.
* Conduct detailed system design analysis to manage trade-offs and specify robust product designs.
* Lead the decomposition of requirements at system and sub-system levels using tools like IBM DOORS Next.
* Act as a technical focal point, guiding analysis activities and system design decisions.
* Collaborate with specialists across various engineering disciplines to realize integrated design solutions.
* Direct system integration, test planning, and execution.
* Define acceptance strategies and evidence demonstrating system performance across diverse operational scenarios.
What You Bring
Essential Skills
* Experience in systems design, integration, and testing.
* Understanding of Systems and Product lifecycles from concept to delivery.
* Familiarity with various Engineering disciplines (Software, Mechanical, Electrical).
* Knowledge of Radar Systems is a plus, but not essential if you can quickly grasp new technologies.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Experience presenting technical and non-technical information in formal settings.
* A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline.
