To develop this department further, we are seeking a Deputy Science Lead to assist in building the curriculum and enhancing the current offer. This is a new role, as the school continues to grow both in numbers and curriculum offerings. The successful applicant will be required to:
1. Secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Head of Department.
2. Build on the outcomes for pupils in Science-based qualifications.
3. Contribute to the development and/or implementation of Science departmental policy and procedures.
4. Teach a flexible range of subjects as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum, including off-site locations for trips.
5. Undertake other responsibilities as identified in consultation with the Head of Department to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
6. Support and promote the learning, personal development, and well-being of all students.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes/qualifications:
* UK QTS
* Minimum of 3 years classroom experience
* Experience delivering the GCSE Science curriculum
* A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school
