Special educational needs learning support assistant – Nottinghamshire
We are working with a fantastic Alternative provision in the Nottinghamshire area to find a qualified, experienced, enthusiastic and naturally caring SEND teaching assistant to join on a long‑term, full‑time basis. The role may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
* Sensitivity and understanding towards children with SEND
* Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
* Active listening skills
* Ability to look after children’s physical, social and emotional welfare
* Flexibility and openness to change
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Ability to adapt teaching support according to student needs
Other Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the updated service is an advantage (we can apply for one if needed)
* Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
* Professional reference checks
* CV must cover the last 5 years of employment history where possible
* Legal right to work in the UK
