Finance & Operations Assistant Manchester (Office Based 5 Days in office) £25,000 Looking for a role where you can build real finance experience and play a key part in how a business runs day-to-day? Youll be at the centre of operations, gaining exposure across finance, compliance, and business support while working closely with a team that wants to see you succeed. Youll build valuable, practical finance skills through hands-on experience with invoicing, reconciliations, and accounting systems. Youll develop strong commercial awareness by seeing how placements convert into revenue and how finance underpins business performance. Youll work closely with experienced colleagues across finance and operations, gaining insight and support in a collaborative setting where knowledge is shared openly. Youll be part of a well-established, stable business with international reach, but one that still maintains a close-knit, team-driven culture where your contribution is recognised and valued. What youll be doing Youll play a key role across contractor care, finance administration, and wider business support. Youll prepare and issue contracts for UK and European clients and service providers, manage onboarding processes, and ensure all compliance documentation is complete, accurate, and validated. Youll liaise with finance on credit checks, payment terms, and account setup, while maintaining accurate records and tracking contract extensions through the CRM system. On the finance side, youll support invoicing processes, ensure placements are ready for billing, and assist with purchase ledger, reconciliations, and expense management. Youll work with finance systems including Xero to keep records accurate and up to date, and support processes such as invoice discounting and supplier payments. Youll also contribute to the smooth running of the business by supporting travel bookings, GDPR inbox management, and general office coordination, as well as assisting with starter and leaver administration. What were looking for You may already have some experience in finance, administration, or operations, or you may be looking to build on a strong foundation with a willingness to learn. Youll have a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and confidence working with systems and data.
