Mobile Catering Assistant (Peripatetic) – South Ribble and Preston | Part Time
Salary £12.60 per hour | Permanent, Part Time, 16.25 hours per week, Variable | South Ribble and Preston
Peripatetic role – Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day; we are looking for committed individuals to join the service.
Responsibilities
* Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away
* Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
* Clean all equipment and catering areas
* Run units in the absence of a UCS
What We Are Looking For
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
* Good customer care skills
* Previous catering and food preparation experience would be essential
* Running various kitchens in the absence of the unit manager
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* Term time only
* Essential car user
* 16.25 hours per week, though hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake and service needs
