About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organising essential fundraising events. Whether you're encouraging Residents to socialise more effectively, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, your approach will be rooted in kindness.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, and strong planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should be considerate and kind in all communications.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. Attendance at safeguarding training is required, along with the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
We offer full training and a range of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG.
* Free uniform.
* A nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more.
* Company pension scheme.
* 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays.
* Group life assurance cover.
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access.
* Learning and development opportunities, including qualifications.
* GP online service for 24/7 consultations.
* Learning from experienced colleagues in a supportive team.
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores.
* Confidential Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support.
* Recognition schemes like ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards.
* Refer a friend scheme offering up to £1000 per referral.
We value diversity and inclusion, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds. We are committed to a quick onboarding process to start your journey with us promptly.
