PMO Manager - Lloyd's Insurer - £90-95k
3 days per week in the office.
The PMO Manager is responsible for driving disciplined delivery, governance, and transparency across change programmes within the organisation. In addition to programme‑level leadership, this role plays a strategic part in maturing the Business Change PMO function, establishing consistent standards, improving delivery capability, and embedding best‑practice controls across the change portfolio.
Operating within a complex London Market insurance environment, the PMO Manager will own governance, integrated planning, RAID management, financial oversight, and vendor coordination, ensuring programmes meet expectations for quality, clarity, and control. The role will also champion continuous improvement across the PMO discipline, helping the organisation evolve towards a more structured, repeatable, and scalable change environment
PMO Function Maturity & Continuous Improvement
Lead the uplift and maturation of the Business Change PMO function, embedding consistent standards, tooling, templates, and ways of working across the portfolio.
Establish and own PMO frameworks covering governance, reporting, RAID, scope management, planning, financial management, and documentation control.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
Coordinate third‑party vendors and ensure deliverables, SoWs, milestones, and dependencies align to the programme plan.
Escalate vendor delivery risks and manage the end‑to‑end integration of vendor activities into the programme.
London Market insurance experience (Lloyd's Syndicate, MGA, carrier, or broker).
Proven experience leading PMO functions in complex, multi‑vendor change programmes.
Strong background in governance leadership, integrated planning, RAID management, and senior reporting.
Experience uplifting PMO functions, maturing processes, and embedding best‑practice standards.
Demonstrable ability to work across underwriting, operations, pricing, finance, IT, risk, data, and security teams.
Strong vendor coordination experience and familiarity with London Market technology providers.
Deep knowledge of RAID, scope control, documentation standards, and audit/compliance requirements.
Desirable
Experience with underwriting platform replacements, pricing tools, cloud/data modernisation, or integration programmes.
Exposure to change management, training readiness, and user adoption frameworks.
