We are looking to bring on board a qualified accountant into a business critical Finance Business Partner role in Livingston.

Key tasks and responsibilities
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and annual statutory obligations.
Analyzing financial data and performing forecasting to aid strategic decision-making.
Evaluating performance by comparing historic data against current results and industry trends.
Creating generic and ad-hoc reports while liaising with the accounting team for accuracy.
Developing financial models and systems to support planning and forecasting.
Providing trend analysis and recommending actions to improve business performance.
Performing market research and extracting industry data to stay current with market conditions.
Supporting business development opportunities and addressing commercial/financial customer challenges.
Ensuring strategic alignment with the Groups Operating Model.
Providing "gravitas" to constructively challenge the business and manage outcomes that deliver both operational and financial performance.
Required skills and experience
Qualified Accountant with relevant post-qualification experience.
Commercially focused, highly diligent and results-driven.
Experience in negotiating and delivering finance within a public sector environment.
Experience within Energy Solutions in a large organization is highly desirable.
Excellent influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including Board level.
Ability to network with customers and work effectively in "virtual" and traditional teams.
Ability to assimilate new information quickly and deliver at pace to tight timescales.
High degree of accuracy, initiative, and a "future-thinking" curious mind.
Ability to apply the 80:20 rule and solve problems effectively.
