Job Description MIG / TIG Welder Location: Daventry Hours: Full time Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 5:15pm Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour Our well-established Daventry-based client, with over 50 years of experience in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, is currently recruiting experienced MIG/TIG Welders on a temp-to-perm basis. The company supplies high-quality components to a wide range of industries, including automotive, agriculture, bus manufacturing, yellow goods, and general engineering. This role involves production welding on a variety of components, primarily working with mild steel, and following detailed engineering drawings. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and maintain MIG and TIG welding machines and associated equipment Carry out MIG welding, mainly on mild steel Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Inspect and test welded components to ensure they meet customer requirements Use measuring tools such as micrometres and verniers/calipers to check tolerances Identify faults and troubleshoot issues as required Perform general fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, and smoothing metal components Meet production targets and deadlines Report any defects or issues to the Production Supervisor Comply with all health and safety regulations at all times The Ideal Candidate: Proven experience as a MIG/TIG Welder Confident working from engineering drawings and specifications Able to work efficiently to deadlines Experienced working with mild steel and stainless steel
