Main Responsibilities
* Providing support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
* Proactive and commercial case management and progression
* Supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs
* Effective and thorough time recording
Responsibilities
* Discussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and team members
* Identifying cases ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
* Collaborating to collect and collate information to enable progression of cases
* Managing a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
* Co-ordinating progression of cases with internal and external parties
* Drafting legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
* Negotiating settlements and issuing/serving proceedings when required
* Overseeing team documentation and correspondence
* Advising the team on technical issues arising
Essential Skills And Experience
* Recent experience handling a caseload
* 8+ years PQE or equivalent in Clinical Negligence
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and drafting skills
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Proclaim and Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
* Ability to mentor junior team members
* Flexible and committed to achieving results and meeting deadlines
* Excellent Client Care Skills
