Position Overview
As a Finning Engineer, you will:
* Work in a dynamic field service department.
* Be based in one of our locations: Leeds, Cannock, Cardiff, or Glasgow.

Your Role
As a Field Service Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
* Responding to customer service requests and diagnosing equipment issues.
* Providing detailed information to customers and creating quotes based on their needs.
* Estimating arrival times and communicating effectively with customers.
* Diagnosing equipment problems using specialized tools.
* Identifying and requisitioning necessary parts for repairs.
* Performing repairs and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.
What You Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A valid LDV driving license.
* Formal training (NVQ Level 3 preferred) and experience as a service engineer.
* Experience with gas and diesel engines, including generators (both LV and HV).
* Knowledge of field-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Experience with assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components.
* Familiarity with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series).
