Job Description: Support Worker Pay: £14.50 per hour Refer a Friend Scheme - £250 awarded (T&C's apply) We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Full Time and Bank Support Workers to work with an individual who has a learning Disability and autism and mental health support needs within the Shrewsbury area. About the Person You’ll Be Supporting This is a young man who communicates non-verbally and relies on those around him to support him in every aspect of daily living – from shopping and meal preparation to lawn care and attending appointments. He loves drives, staying active, and doing real, meaningful tasks in his day. He is surrounded by a loving family, and it's important that any new team members value family connections and work collaboratively with them. While he can experience behaviours that challenge, he thrives when supported by people who understand him, are consistent, and use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches. If you’re someone with a calm presence, emotional resilience, and a willingness to learn, this role is for you. What You’ll Need: A genuine passion for supporting people to live their best lives Patience, empathy and great communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) Experience with PBS or a strong willingness to be trained A person-centred approach – always putting the individual first The ability to work as part of a consistent and committed team A full UK driving licence (essential – he loves a good drive!)
