Provides advice, guidance, and support for various and assigned aspects of Regional / Geographic operations. Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of operational programs and projects. Works closely with regional, store, and/or team leadership to communicate program / project objectives, profitability expectations, priorities, performance standards, and other parameters. Engages with Team Members as required to ensure proper support in terms of communication and training. Engages with marketing, merchandising, accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration and alignment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provides advice and support for a range of processes, programs, and/or initiatives for assigned stores and region(s), including merchandising, marketing, quality assurance, training, and communications.
2. Builds strong and supportive relationships with store and regional leadership.
3. Ensures store and regional leadership understand and receive the support they need to achieve process / program / initiative timeframes, priorities, and objectives.
4. Works with store and regional leadership to ensure effective alignment and coordination of various activities, such as product delivery, distribution, rotation, etc.
5. Supports existing stores, programs, and operations; provides guidance and advice on new store development, including design, hiring, training, product placement, ordering, merchandising, and team support.
6. Identifies operational best practices and ensures effective documentation, communication and application.
7. Ensures provision / execution of daily store-based training, including for Team Members, buyers, and Team Leaders.
8. Engages closely with store leadership to drive effective execution and implementation of regional programs and merchandising objectives.
9. Monitors operations and provides daily feedback to store leaders / teams regarding plan execution, including sales, margins, labor, merchandising, training, sanitation, marketing, and promotions.
10. Conducts announced and unannounced store / operational visits.
11. Monitors and maintains quality standards; ensures that equipment is in good working order and calibrated to standards.
12. Monitors and reports on sales and profitability measures including year-over-year increases.
13. As required, conducts competitive pricing and retail site surveys, communicating findings to leadership.
14. Engages with store and regional leadership to understand and communicate wins and opportunities.

Skills:

15. Demonstrates strong knowledge of specialty area(s), such as coffee, tea, produce, bakery, etc.
16. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of technical skills associated with assigned specialty area(s).
17. Demonstrates strong knowledge of merchandising concepts and practices.
18. Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email management, and other office systems.
19. Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion.
20. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions in both one-on-one situations and group meetings.
21. Listens beyond the spoken words and understands intention, adapting accordingly.
22. Ability to work closely and effectively with various stakeholders including Team Members, Team Leaders, and store and regional leadership.
23. Leverages multiple internal teams to further program / project objectives.
24. May provide informal support to less experienced Team Members.
25. Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations.

26. Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
27. Handles a diverse range of issues requiring evaluation of a variety of factors, including business trends.
28. Analyzes complex and ambiguous problems.
29. Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancement to drive efficiency and improve service levels.
30. Understands customer, market, and industry trends and emerging challenges.
31. Applies business and project understanding to focus project / team efforts.
32. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.

Education & Experience:

33. BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
The wage range for this position is £47,840.00-£81,328.00 Annual, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
