The Role
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for:
* Preparing and finalising year-end accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Calculating tax liabilities and assisting with tax planning strategies.
* Working closely with clients and colleagues to ensure a high standard of service.
* Supporting the delivery of timely, compliant, and efficient accountancy services.
About You
Our client is looking for someone with strong all-round experience in accounts and tax. Ideally, you’ll be qualified or part-qualified with a recognised accounting body (ACCA, ACA, AAT, etc.).
The ideal candidate will also have:
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Confidence analysing financial information and communicating findings.
* A clear and organised approach to documentation and reporting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
* Experience with IRIS is an advantage but not essential.
What's on Offer:
* Competitive salary of £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
* 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and the office closure period between Christmas and New Year
