Job Advert Role Description
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. This rewarding role involves creating engaging activities that make a positive difference.
Ideally, candidates will have a full UK driving licence held for at least 3 years, to facilitate transportation of service users to community activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organise, and coordinate a diverse and inclusive programme of activities tailored to service users' interests and needs.
* Coordinate with external organisations and entertainers for meaningful sessions and outings.
* Establish relationships with local churches, volunteer groups, leisure centres, and community partners.
* Gather feedback through conversations and simple questionnaires to ensure activities are engaging and person-centred.
* Coordinate visits from professionals such as hairdressers and chiropodists alongside the care team.
About You:
* Cheerful, creative, outgoing, with a genuine passion for supporting others.
* Organised and confident in planning and coordinating group activities.
* Experience in the care sector or with individuals with additional needs is preferred but not essential—enthusiasm, empathy, and a positive attitude are most important.
Join our team and help create enriching experiences that promote joy, independence, and community connection for those we support.
