English Teacher - Salisbury

Contract: Long-Term (until December 2025, with the potential to become permanent)
Pay: £160 - £240 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm | Full-Time

Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Salisbury to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher. This exciting opportunity begins in September 2025, initially on a long-term basis until December 2025, with strong potential for a permanent placement for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a supportive and collaborative English department. This role is well-suited for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners. The school is also open to applications from unqualified teachers or those with relevant secondary English teaching experience.
* Plan and deliver creative and effective English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities
* Promote a love of literature, reading, and language across the student body
* Mark and assess students' work in line with departmental and national standards, providing timely and constructive feedback
* Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, engagement, and achievement
* Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including parents' evenings, trips, and extracurricular clubs
