THE TNEI GROUP AND THE HEAD OF MARKETING POSITION
TNEI Group is a rapidly growing, international, employee owned, specialist consultancy business working in the vibrant renewable energy sector. We have an enviable reputation in our industry developed over 25 years and we are in the process of transforming our business from a small, largely UK based, business into a medium sized and increasingly international consultancy.
As we continue to expand, we are seeking a full time Head of Marketing to closely work with the Board of Directors and oversee all aspects of our marketing activities. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing TNEI Group’s global marketing strategy, driving brand growth, and supporting our ambitious business objectives. This role will lead the marketing team, drive brand positioning across international markets, and ensure consistent, high-quality marketing campaigns that attract, retain, and engage clients within the engineering and infrastructure sectors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Strategic Leadership:
* Develop and implement a marketing strategy and budget aligned with the TNEI Group’s vision, values and growth plans.
* Oversee all marketing channels, including the website, digital, social media, events and PR.
* Position TNEI Group as a thought leader in the energy consultancy market through brand building, content strategy and targeted communications that build trust and credibility.
* Analyse UK and international market trends, competitor positioning and client need to identify opportunities for business growth.
Brand and Communications:
* Maintain and evolve the TNEI Group brand to ensure it remains relevant, distinctive and impactful across all our core markets.
* Collaborate with Directors and Heads of Department to develop and maintain high quality marketing collateral, proposals and case studies consistent with brand standards.
* Act as the internal champion for brand integrity, ensuring consistent messaging and tone across all channels.
* Manage the creation of content for social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.
Business Development Support:
* Lead marketing activity at key industry events, ensuring maximum ROI through branding, content and engagement strategies.
* Drive marketing campaigns and initiatives for all teams/companies within TNEI Group both in the UK and overseas.
* Develop sector-specific insights and client facing materials to reinforce TNEI Group’s market position.
Digital Marketing and Innovation:
* Enhance TNEI Group’s digital presence through website optimisation, search engine optimisation/marketing, and social media marketing.
* Oversee the development and then use of marketing automation tools, analytics and CRM systems.
* Track and report on the performance and ROI of all marketing activities.
* Promote innovation in marketing practices and tools to maintain a competitive edge.
Team Leadership and Management:
* Manage, mentor and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate across TNEI Group to align marketing and communication objectives with overall business priorities.
* Partner with key industry associations to maximise brand visibility through events, committees and seminars.
* Manage external agencies, suppliers and partners to ensure quality and cost efficiency
REQUIREMENTS
Essential requirements include:
* Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into effective marketing strategies and measurable results.
* Proven ability to build brand visibility and thought leadership in B2B services
* Commercial acumen with strong understanding of consultancy business models.
* Proficiency in digital marketing, CRM, analytics and campaign performance measurement.
* Excellent communication, writing and storytelling skills.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Degree/Masters and a professional qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field).
* Significant experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior strategic marketing leadership role.
* Proven experience in B2B marketing within engineering, professional services or consultancy sectors, with a track record of delivering UK and international campaigns.
* Demonstrable ability to create a marketing strategy for an international group.
* Experience of growing and managing high-performance marketing teams.
* A right to work in the UK without the requirement for a visa and to be based full time in one of our UK offices (Manchester, Glasgow or Newcastle).
* Experience working effectively across multiple regions and cultures.
* Highly collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills
* Experience of working in a medium sized consultancy environment
