Import/Export Clerk – Join a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, seeking an Import/Export Clerk to work as part of a dedicated Customs team in their office in Dover, Kent on a full-time permanent basis.


Your role:

As the Import/Export Clerk, you will deliver high-quality service to an international client base, managing customs declarations and ensuring smooth shipment processes.


Key responsibilities:

1. Ensure timely processing of customs declarations and address client queries promptly.
2. Record and review customs declaration requests, maintaining accurate system data.
3. Track duties paid by the company and recover costs from clients when necessary.
4. Liaise with clients to understand and fulfill their customs declaration needs.
5. Share critical information with carriers to ensure seamless delivery and avoid delays.
6. Collaborate with the Customs Declarations Manager to meet team objectives and maintain service excellence.


About you:

We are looking for an experienced Import/Export Clerk with a background in import/export declaration processes. Experience with Customs Declaration Service (CDS), Destin8, and CNS (Compass) is essential. You should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities. Flexibility to work shifts, cover bank holidays, and potentially be multilingual is desirable.

They offer:

A salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience), full-time work Monday to Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift (one in three or four weeks). Shifts are from 0700-1500 or 0900-1700.
