POSITION: CAD Technician
LOCATION : Commutable from Beverley, Pocklington, York, Selby, Goole, Market Weighton, Driffield
THE ROLE:
This role is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician with experience of working in the manufacturing sector to join an established business and be part of a motivated and growing team. You will be working with state of the art CNC manufacturing technology in a supportive and skilled team environment.
SALARY : £32-35K - Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week - office based
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar).
• An understanding of CNC workflows and how CAD files translate to machining operations.
• Strong spatial awareness and the ability to interpret technical drawings and site measurements.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
• As a CAD Technician you will be producing accurate 2D CAD drawings using data from site templates and laser systems.
• Work with LT55 and FlexiJET laser templating data to create detailed fabrication files. Training will be given on this.
• Collaborate with templaters, fitters, and the production team to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and ready for manufacture.
• Prepare files suitable for CNC machinery, ensuring design compatibility with factory processes.
• Revise and update drawings as needed, ensuring customer satisfaction and manufacturing feasibility.
• Maintain clear documentation and file management for all CAD projects.
