Job Description
Purpose: To plan and deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with SEMH/SEND needs in small groups.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
* Differentiate for SEND/EHCP requirements.
* Promote positive behaviour using restorative approaches.
* Assess, record, and report pupil progress.
* Contribute to curriculum development.
* Safeguard pupils by following policy and raising concerns appropriately.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
All staff are expected to:
* Promote the welfare of children and young people.
* Be vigilant to potential safeguarding concerns and report appropriately.
* Adhere to Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and school policies.
* Complete regular safeguarding and child protection training.
* Act with confidentiality and integrity at all times.
Person Specification
Essential:
* QTS (or equivalent).
* Experience teaching KS3/KS4.
* Strong behaviour management strategies.
* Commitment to safeguarding.
Desirable:
* Experience in AP/PRU/SEND settings.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
* Additional SEND/SEMH training.
