To provide support to the secretaries within the department undertaking typing of ward rounds and clinic letters.
Undertake any clerical duties required by the team including any non-clinical administration duties as requested by the team

Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Understanding of secretarial procedures
2. Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable criteria
3. Understanding of medical terminology
4. Knowledge of local hospital systems
5. Understanding of 18 Week Referral to Treatment
Qualifications
Essential criteria
6. Good standard of general education to include GCSE (or equivalent) in English and numeracy.
Desirable criteria
7. RSA II or equivalent with good level of speed and accuracy.
Experience
Essential criteria
8. Knowledge of patient administration systems.
9. Experinece of general office duties
Desirable criteria
10. Recent secretarial experience in a hospital environment
