Job Description
This role involves providing high-quality business management support for the directorate, leading on planning, processes, and business improvement, and fostering cross-directorate collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the Director's business and support the PA for effective information flow.
* Assist the Senior Team with strategic planning, oversee reporting, and monitor compliance and performance measures.
* Collaborate with the Business Management Network to align processes and share best practices.
* Ensure smooth operations within the directorate, including handling correspondence and developing processes.
* Coordinate the preparation of papers for Board and committee meetings.
* Manage workflows to meet deadlines and facilitate cross-directorate work.
* Lead horizon scanning and forward planning for external and internal business activities.
* Establish administration systems for management information and ensure records management compliance.
* Work with Finance on budget monitoring and support financial processes.
* Provide secretariat support for committees and groups.
* Support and line-manage colleagues as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Applicants must demonstrate experience in team leadership or similar roles, proficiency with IT systems, strong analytical and communication skills, organizational ability, resilience, and experience in the public sector and project management.
