* PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £24,600 – £31,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC Education exists to transform lives through education. As a part of BBC Bitesize and Bitesize Careers, the platform helps young people navigate the world of work. In Autumn we are launching a careers campaign, in partnership with the Open University, aimed at 14–19‑year‑olds to inspire them to discover enjoyable jobs and careers – starting with football.
WHY JOIN THE TEAM
You will gain a thorough understanding of how a BBC Bitesize campaign is run by supporting the producer and assistant producer in the set‑up and delivery of the campaign, including the launch event, films, podcast series and quizzes that help young people navigate the world of work.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* Utilise digital skills to create content for the campaign on the Careers website, including uploading videos, writing articles, adding promos and links to partner sites.
* Support the set‑up and delivery of the campaign launch; identify contributors and ambassadors for films, events, podcast series or promotional content; research, source and pre‑interview potential contributors to ensure diverse backgrounds and career pathways.
* Evaluate content performance once the campaign is live to inform future content curation of collection pages and their navigation.
* Assist the assistant producer in creating promotional content aimed at schools.
* Undertake audience research to ensure content reflects the needs, motivations and barriers faced by 14–19‑year‑olds when exploring careers; translate complex career pathways into clear, accessible language.
* Identify emerging trends across youth, sport and careers to shape campaign storytelling and tone; fact‑check all material for accuracy, alignment with BBC editorial guidelines and effective cross‑promotion between Bitesize Careers and partner platforms.
* Monitor analytics to track user behaviour, engagement and traffic sources; produce short insight summaries to inform editorial decisions and improve user journeys; review feedback to refine content collections and enhance navigation across campaign pages.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA – YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Strong digital skillset and experience creating and working with digital content assets across platforms, including social.
* Experience using digital content management systems.
* Sound editorial judgement and demonstrable passion for creating engaging educational content for young people.
* Interest in working with statistics and audience data to inform content decisions.
* A creative, driven self‑starter capable of managing time effectively and working both independently and as part of a small team.
DESIRABLE
* Interest in football would be an advantage.
