The Role:
We are looking for anArchitectural Technicianto join our growing design team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stage of their architectural career who is keen to develop their technical skills within afast-paced commercial property environment.
You will support the design team with the preparation, coordination, and management oftechnical drawings and project documentationfor bothnew-build and refurbishment projectsacross the commercial and industrial sectors.
The role will involve assisting with design development, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring projects meetplanning requirements, building regulations, and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation ofarchitectural drawings using AutoCAD
* Support senior team members in producingdetailed construction drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and schedules
* Coordinate witharchitects, engineers, and consultantsto ensure designs meet structural and regulatory requirements
* Research and apply relevantbuilding regulations, codes, materials, and construction methods
* Prepare documentation forplanning submissions, building regulations approvals, and tender packages
* Assist withsite visits and surveys, recording measurements and documenting existing conditions
* Maintain organiseddrawing files, technical specifications, and project documentation
* Participate inproject meetingsand collaborate with the wider design and development team
Qualifications & Skills:
* Degree or relevant qualification inArchitecture, Architectural Technology, or Architectural Technician studies
* min. 3 years experienceworking in Architecture
* Proficiency inAutoCAD
* Understanding ofconstruction methods and building detailing
* Knowledge ofplanning processes and building regulations xsngvjr
* Strongtechnical drawing and drafting skills
* High attention to detail and strongorganisational skills
* Goodcommunication and teamwork abilities
* Willingness tolearn, develop, and take direction from senior staff
Desirable Experience:
* Knowledge ofsustainable design principles
* Understanding ofBREEAM standards
* Experience withRevit
* Exposure toproject management tools or development workflows
