The 750-acre estate is criss-crossed with waymarked walks, which run through a mosaic of habitats.Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of the Visitor Welcome Team at Newark Park, working alongside a dedicated group of Welcome Team staff and volunteers.Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the service you provide. This role would suit someone with real enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all‑round customer service experience, providing a warm, informative and helpful welcome to visitors from the moment they arrive. You’ll be on hand to answer queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.This role is based across Visitor Reception and the house, depending on where you are based for the day. When working in the house, you’ll greet visitors, support the smooth running of daily operations and help ensure that volunteers have a positive and rewarding experience while volunteering at Newark Park.You’ll play an active role in supporting the National Trust by talking to visitors about membership and signing up new members. Alongside this you'll be handling payments securely and following clear procedures.Maintaining high standards across the site will also be part of your role. This role is based on annualised hours, meaning the number of hours you work each month will vary depending on operational demand and our opening times across the year. However, your salary will be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.Working days will vary to support our busiest periods, including bank holidays and school holidays, with weekend working required on a rotational basis. Typically, you will work fewer hours in the quieter winter months and greater hours across the rest of the year.
