Crisis Intervention Practitioner

Band 7 Crisis Intervention Practitioners are needed within the Mindworks Crisis Intervention Service for Surrey.
Do you work as an RMN, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist and have experience with Children and Young People? You will lead and support assessments and interventions for young people in crisis.
The service operates 7 days a week, 9am-5pm, Monday to Sunday including bank holidays. Weekend and bank holiday shifts are expected.
You must hold an appropriate professional registration with NMC, HCPC, or SWE. Experience and competence in working with vulnerable people in crisis is essential. Experience with children and young people is required.
Two full‑time positions are available at Gatton Place, Redhill.
Main duties
Lead and support assessment, risk and care planning alongside Children and Young People (CYPS), their families or carers, and acute staff to facilitate safe discharge with community follow‑up care.
Support junior staff to provide high‑quality care, share learning, and develop skills through supervision and training while maintaining KPIs and collecting data to support service growth.

Salary
£51,657 to £58,785 per year (incl 5% Fringe HCAS, pro rata).
Qualifications
* Qualification in Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy.
Experience
* 3 years post‑qualifying experience, including 1 year as a Band 6 in community. Experience working with CYP with mental health needs in the community crisis setting.
* Experience in undertaking mental health assessments, risk assessments, risk formulations, crisis and contingency planning, and use of outcome measures.
* Experience working with other agencies and in a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Good understanding of family functioning, safeguarding procedures, and awareness of related policies.
