Receptionist


Location: Sheldon Dental, 26 Sheaf Lane, Sheldon, Birmingham, B26 3HD


Hours: 24.75 per week

As a Receptionist, you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer, welcoming them, understanding their feelings, and ensuring they have a great experience. You know that first impressions count.


You will work closely with every team member, building trust through your efficiency, accuracy, and people skills. You should be a great communicator, able to speak clearly and calmly with patients both in person and over the phone. Additionally, you will handle patient concerns and queries regarding treatments, including pricing and follow-ups.



Key Responsibilities


* Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
* Managing the diaries and ensuring appointments are scheduled correctly
* Working with the team to understand the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice
* Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within designated timescales
* Processing payments and following up on outstanding patient debts
* Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies, and other organizations



Key Skills and Experience


* Ability to build rapport easily and deliver high-quality customer service
* Passion and ability to learn about treatment options within the dental sector, becoming an expert on your practice's offerings
* Drive to contribute to the success of the practice by seizing opportunities
* Ability to follow processes and work in a structured, organized manner
* Comfortable working towards practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture, rebooking)
* IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
* Positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to work calmly under pressure
* Strong attention to detail
* An excellent team player
