Conference And Events Service Manager - Kents Hill, Milton Keynes | Full-Time / Permanent
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Conference & Events Manager to join our team at Kents Hill Park, part of The Venues Collection. In this role, you will take ownership of delivering outstanding events and ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all conference and event spaces are set up to an exceptional standard, tailored to guest requirements.
* Provide professional and attentive service throughout each event, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
* Assist with servicing event spaces during use, including food and beverage service as required.
* Support a wide variety of events, from small syndicate rooms and private dinners to large conferences, exhibitions, and banquets.
* Fully competent in the use of all IT systems associated with the department.
* Ensure that you and your team are fully aware of all venue facilities and events.
* Take responsibility for Profit Protection manual actions relating to each department.
* Ensure the department SOP is up to date and monitored for 100% compliance.
* Proactively manage the work of the team, allocating special duties and responsibilities.
* Handle guest queries and feedback, taking appropriate action to ensure full resolution.
* Develop and maintain a high level of guest care with emphasis on guest interaction.
* Duty manager shifts ownership and responsibility of the daily job tasks.
* Attend meetings as requested by management.
* Ensure effective communication between each department.
* React promptly to any identified maintenance issues and update Opera accordingly.
* Adhere to departmental SOP compliance.
* Set up meeting rooms as per guest requirements to meet company SOP.
* Maintain colleague discipline and grievance procedures in accordance with our policies.
* Take ownership for all Health and Safety as they arise.
* Conduct Cogard Health and Safety and Duty Manager Safety Walks daily.
* Maintenance & cleanliness of the site grounds internally and externally.
* Be aware of all legislation relevant to the work and ensure all legal requirements are met, including: licensing, Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Fire Precautions, Manual Handling, Wellbeing and Risk Assessments.
* Support the overall goals of the business and assist in all departments where daily support is needed.
* Act as an ambassador to the venue and brand, lead by example, give clear instructions, and maintain good guest relations with internal and external customers.
