Global Operations / UK Operations – Macclesfield Infrastructure Development (FM)
1. Improve Facilities Management contract management quality: Help develop and roll out strong service contracts, fixing gaps that have made it hard to manage suppliers effectively. This will support proactive, reliable, and optimized contract management.
2. Hold Facilities Management suppliers accountable: Support monitoring supplier performance against agreed service standards, making sure delivery meets the needs and expectations of our internal teams.
3. Support critical work for patients: Help ensure services run smoothly across R&D, Manufacturing, Testing, and Product Release—so the right medicines reach patients safely and on time.
4. Use AI and smart tech to boost efficiency: Spot practical ways to bring AI and new technology into our Facilities Management (FM) team. You’ll help improve how we manage suppliers, enhance oversight, and streamline day-to-day FM operations—driving real productivity gains.
Training and Development
AstraZeneca will sponsor you through yourFacilities Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship atAstraZeneca Macclesfield Campus, with remote college learning from Capital City College.
The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time collegelearning (on average 1 day/week). This will give you the opportunity to gain a Facilities Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification, with the advantage of gaining relevant work-life skills and the excitement of helping to develop new medicines whilst taking your first steps towards a rewarding career.

Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades 9 to 4 including English and Maths
To have achieved or predicted to achieve a minimum of 1 A level(32UCAS points or equivalent at grade C)

This is a 2-year fixed term contract opportunity based at Macclesfield with a starting base salary of £24,570 + 11% benefits fund + bonus.
At AstraZeneca, we aim to set you up for success and we recognise the challenges that starting a new job can bring. We therefore offer a relocation package to help with the costs and process of moving for candidates who currently live more than 60 minutes from the site location for this Apprenticeship.
