NRL are currently looking for a Supervisor for a site in Southampton
Must have:
* Experience in project delivery, including estimating, quoting, and managing multidisciplinary Low Voltage projects.
* Knowledge of how the SSEN Low Voltage Network operates.
* Certified NRSWA Supervisor.
* Understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM) and industry best practices.
* SMSTS qualification.
* Strong communication, time management, and people management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects.
* Organisational skills for planning and executing works.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Experience with Office 365 applications.
* Full driving licence.
As a Supervisor, you will lead a team of up to 10 operatives, including subcontractors, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your team may include Traffic Management Operatives, LV Live Jointers, and Civils Operatives, all working on Low Voltage projects.
Your role will involve direct customer interaction, project scoping, quoting, and project delivery. The project involves a full turnkey solution for design and build, covering planned activities including design, planning, excavations, jointing, and reinstatement. You will assist our client with all Capital replacements on LV projects, including link box installations.
In a typical day, you could expect to:
* Champion a positive health and safety culture and ensure compliance, including developing SHE plans and reporting incidents.
* Deliver work according to project specifications and timelines.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities.
* Manage materials, logistics, and optimise labour resources for efficient project delivery.
* Represent the company on-site, attend meetings, and brief teams on project requirements.
* Ensure accurate project documentation, manage variations, and support smooth project handovers.
* Conduct quality checks, supervise operatives and contractors, and provide on-the-job training.
Duration: Initially 3 months, with potential for longer-term employment.
Working hours: 45 hours per week, with overtime available.
