Would you like to make a difference to the education of visually impaired children? Would you like to be part of their journey as they learn, develop their independence and prepare for adulthood?
The Visual Impairment (VI) (part of WISENDSS) provides support to children with vision impairments from birth to secondary school age and beyond, including those children with complex needs.
The VI Team are looking to appoint a motivated individual to provide excellent support to visually impaired pupils within our secondary resource provision at Crofton Academy.
The right candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and will be committed to helping children learn and make progress. You should possess good communication skills, feel confident using a computer and have a willingness to learn. The ability to solve problems and to use your own initiative is important, whilst optimism and a sense of humour is a must. Experience of working with children with special educational needs, particularly visual impairment would be an advantage, however training will be given to the right person.
So if you have an excellent work ethic and you believe you fulfil the criteria we would love to hear from you. For further information please email Sam Cariss (VI Team Lead) -
