The 3rd Wok chef position will be responsible for overseeing daily wok production, upholding kitchen standards, and supporting the Master Chef in all operational needs in Min Jiang Kitchen.
* Assist in supervising and organising all Wok Section operations, including preparation, quality control, and stock management.
* Support other kitchen sections and the Pass Controller as directed by the Master Chef.
* Maintain strict compliance with SOPs, Min Jiang standards, and hotel policies.
* Ensure team adherence to company code of conduct and HR procedures.
* Welcome and support new team members, including agency staff.
* Supervise daily production needs and food quality within the Wok Section.
* Execute tasks assigned by the Master Chef to support overall kitchen production.
* Contribute to new dish development and uphold consistent standards.
* Oversee and perform daily food production for service.
* Provide cover for chefs during days off across relevant sections.
* Ensure food quality, cost control, and minimal wastage.
* Maintain and monitor equipment functionality and cleanliness.
* Supervise and train junior members of the Wok Section.
* Rotate between stations as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
If you’re our ideal 3rd Wok Chef, you will have;
* Strong wok-cooking skills and understanding of Asian cuisine.
* Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and SOPs.
* Ability to supervise, train, and support junior chefs.
* Strong organisation and time-management under pressure.
* Basic stock control and cost-awareness.
