Senior Psychological Therapist or Senior Practitioner Psychologist
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced psychological therapist (BABCP registered CBT therapist, Art Therapist or HCPC registered Psychologist) to join our Acute and Urgent Care Services based in Worthing. This full‑time post will support an in‑patients working‑age adult ward, the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) and a 24/7 community‑based Haven service.
Responsibilities
* Provide evidence‑based assessment, interventions and complex formulations for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
* Deliver a full range of psychological therapies, including supervision to and reflection with Band 7 psychological therapists.
* Consult with multidisciplinary colleagues and support pathway working for service users at points of transition.
* Participate in peer supervision, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
* HCPC registered Practitioner psychologist or registered member of an appropriate professional body (e.g., BABCP registered CBT practitioner).
* At least 2 years of post‑qualifying experience in psychological therapy.
* Significant multidisciplinary team (MDT) experience.
* Experience of complex adult mental health presentations.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience of teaching, training or supervising others.
* Experience working with diversity.
* Service‑development experience.
* Consultation experience.
Person Specification
* Recognised accredited postgraduate training in psychological therapy (as specified in the appendix).
* Professional registration as required.
* Substantial post‑qualification experience of specialist psychological therapy.
* High competence in applying therapeutic theory to complex client groups.
* Clear, theoretically informed approach to supervision.
* Experience representing psychological therapy within multidisciplinary, complex organisational contexts.
* Knowledge of guidance and legislation relevant to the client group.
