Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
* Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
* Support junior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance and training where appropriate
* Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas and seasonal specials
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant setting
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
* Experience in meal preparation and working efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* Prior kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
* Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential depending on experience
