We are seeking a paralegal with an interest in Residential Conveyancing dealing with residential conveyancing matters. This includes sales, purchases and re-mortgages of freehold and leasehold properties.
You will assist the Solicitors/Conveyancers in the team with their caseload of files and ensure that requirements of LEXCEL and CQS provisions or any other quality standards are met.
You will be trained to keep up-to-date with any updates in legislation where required.
You will receive training to become responsible for building up and developing your own caseload and the department, including marketing and bringing new clients to the Company.
You will assist Fee Earners with the objective of being trained to manage your own caseload of legal work in 12 to 24 months or sooner, subject to experience and performance. The role will be office based at our offices in Bedford.
We recruit Paralegals with a view to becoming qualified as either Solicitors or Licensed Conveyancers.
Experience
Candidates should ideally have:
* Capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets
* Ability to adhere to and manage deadlines
* Assist colleagues and support supervisors in fee earning matters
* Follow compliance guidelines with regards to Solicitors Accounts Rules and cash flow control on case files
* Good drafting and written skills, excellent communication and technical ability
