The Post:
This position is predominantly based within Domestic Services, however, the successful postholder will also be required to work across all Facilities services which also
entails Reception, Mailroom and Catering Services as required – full training will be provided. (Post-holder must be fit to carry out manual work whilst working in Catering,
Mailroom and Domestic services.)
The post holder will also be required to participate in weekend and public holidays rota as part of this post and to support cover for staff absence, therefore an element of flexibility required.
The Candidate:
We are looking for a reliable and dependable person who is able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
Relevant experience in a similar or customer experience role is essential.
You will possess basic PC skills to operate our switchboard and other IT systems.
Good oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with both customers and colleagues at all levels is essential.
Good interpersonal and customer-facing skills, and be able to empathise, maintain professionalism, display patience and liaise effectively within sometimes a pressurised environment.
Location and Working Pattern:
This role will be based at The Jack Copeland Centre, Edinburgh however the post holder may be required to work across other NSS sites in Edinburgh/South Queensferry, a
according to service requirements and on an adhoc basis.
Normal Working pattern is Monday to Sunday 5/7; 37hrs per week (various shifts between the hours 07.00am - 20.00pm).
As the post holder may be required to work across other NSS sites in Edinburgh or South Queensferry, according to service requirements; adhoc basis or Public Holiday rota, these shifts will require weekend working – Saturday & or Sunday between the hours of 08:00am – 16:00pm.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
