Job Description
We're seeking a dynamic Claims Assistant to efficiently manage a diverse range of claims and provide exceptional service to our clients. As part of our team, you'll contribute significantly to our commitment to excellence in the marine insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
* Handle various claims for owners and members in adherence to club policies, ensuring swift and cost-effective resolutions.
* Foster strong relationships with members, assureds, and brokers, delivering exceptional service at all times.
* Collaborate closely with claims and underwriting colleagues, as well as Loss Prevention, within the sector.
* Assist in audits and peer reviews, contributing to the enhancement of claims handling processes.
* Support the Sector in creating and sustaining a high-performing team environment, while liaising with enabling functions.
Essential Requirements:
* Basic understanding of shipping terms and operations.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite with adaptability to new technologies.
* Strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent planning and organizational abilities, capable of managing demanding workloads.
* Self-motivated and proactive with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Flexibility to accommodate client needs and collaborate across geographical sectors.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Basic knowledge of claims matters and P&I rules.
* Background in law, technical expertise in maritime operations, or relevant Maritime industry experience.
