Liddington Ward is looking for highly motivated member of staff to join our experienced and friendly team at Victoria Centre, Swindon.

Liddington Ward is a 12 bedded dementia assessment ward, providing comprehensive support for patients and their carers during a challenging phase of their illness. Liddington is a purpose designed unit providing a high quality working environment. We pride ourselves on our person centred approach, multi disciplinary approach and strong team ethic.

Working closely with our multi disciplinary teams, supporting service users, you will receive on the job and formal structured training. If you have some experience of caring work already that would be great – but if not, we will support you to develop the skills and experience needed.

This role is on a ward that operates on a 24/7 shift basis. Staff will qualify for unsocial enhancements in addition to their basic pay.

You will have excellent communication skills, and be happy to participate in the internal 24 hours, 7 day a week rota to meet the needs of people who use our services.

We expect you to be able to demonstrate how you have worked effectively in a multi-disciplinary team setting. You will need to demonstrate your commitment to personal development.

We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset.

To assist with the care and treatment of service users within

designated clinical areas, as directed.

Assist in the maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment beneficial to the needs of the service users, relatives carers and others.

Contribute to the team approach to person centred patient care, providing accurate and relevant feedback to registered staff and named nurses: participate in team discussions and meetings regarding care of service users.

Participate in the application of their Personal Wellbeing Plan, ensuring interventions and observations are communicated effectively to registered nurse and act as an associate nurse.

Play a part in assessment and management of risk.
