The role
1. Drafting and filing court documents in order to commence and conclude formal recovery action on behalf of investors, whether it is liquidation, administration, bankruptcy or county court procedures
2. Drafting and negotiating security documents, such as charges and deeds of priority, and settlement agreements
3. Negotiating with regard to Insolvency and Litigation matters
4. Managing a large caseload and managing costs and recovery of costs
5. Assisting with administrative duties relating to case management
6. Liaising with external panel firms with regard to issues and cases
7. Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day
What we’re looking for
8. Paralegal with Insolvency and Litigation experience
9. Excellent academics
10. The ability to get into the detail of issues without getting lost in them
11. Excellent communication skills and be able to advise confidently and succinctly
12. Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
13. A ‘can do’ attitude demonstrated by a track record of getting things done
14. Compassionate, grounded, logical and objective and able to follow through on difficult decisions
