Town Planner
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + benefits
Aztrum is delighted to be partnering with a respected, independent planning consultancy based in Worcestershire, as they look to appoint a Town Planner to join their growing team. This established firm delivers expert planning advice across a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, rural and mixed‑use development. Known for their pragmatic, commercially focused approach, they provide clients with clear, outcome‑driven planning strategies and strong technical expertise.
The Role
The Town Planner will support a diverse portfolio of planning applications, appeals and development strategies across the Midlands and wider UK. Working closely with senior team members, the successful candidate will play a key role in preparing planning documents, liaising with clients and local authorities, and helping to guide projects from concept through to consent.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Preparing and managing planning applications, statements and appeals
* Undertaking site appraisals, research and policy reviews
* Engaging with clients, consultants and local planning authorities
* Contributing to planning strategies and project coordination
* Supporting senior colleagues on complex development schemes
Requirements:
* Degree or master’s in Town Planning or related discipline
* MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
* Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and policy
* Excellent written, analytical and communication skills
* A proactive, team‑oriented approach and a desire to progress
